Patrick Cindrich, MD, FAANS is a board-certified Neurosurgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He completed both his general surgery internship and his neurological surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Cindrich chose to go to medical school after his college biology professor urged him to apply and he believes his professor recognized something in him that reminded his professor of his own father who was a physician. Once he started medical school, he realized that was exactly where he was meant to be.
He chose to go into the field of neurological surgery because he recognized most people deal with low back pain or spine pain at sometime during their life which ultimately affects work, family, and all aspects of daily life. His practice allows him to help patients who have been struggling with issues of pain, helping them return to a more normal life.
Dr. Cindrich is committed to listening carefully to his patients and considering their individual needs and concerns to help make treatment decisions. He decided to bring his practice to Evanston because he believes there is a need for providing patient services locally without travel.
“I believe the elements of my practice I have pursued over the last 5-10 years ideally suited for Evanston patient population, and was keenly attracted to the area, the community. I enjoy the small-town life and the community and hospital staff have all been most welcoming.”
Dr. Cindrich approaches care first with more conservative treatment options followed by surgical treatments for a range of conditions affecting the nervous system.
